Purofirst of Metropolitan Washington is a Franchisee under the PuroSystems, Inc. (Franchisor) system, a national leader in the Fire/Water/Mold Restoration Industry.
Purofirst commenced operations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area in December of 1994 and was established to service its customers as a "Single Source Provider” of Fire/Water /Mold Restoration services. In other words, Purofirst is a full-service company handling the Emergency needs of its customers, as well as, their repair/reconstruction needs. Purofirst quickly became a leader in its own right and grew to become the largest franchisee in the entire PuroSystems network. Today Purofirst services an area of approximately a 75 miles radius from its headquarters in Rockville, MD. and does so with its 55 fulltime, certified, and uniformed employees.
Purofirst today has divisions specializing in Fire/Smoke clean up (structure and contents) and pack-outs when needed; Water Mitigation(dry down of structure and contents; including sewer back-ups and trauma clean up); Mold Remediation; Board-ups; Repairs/Reconstruction; and Infrared Camera Inspections(performed by technicians that are Building Sciences Certified).
Through its growth and experience Purofirst has developed into a company that services three predominant markets:

- Commercial Buildings (property managers, engineers, and owners)
- New Home Builders
